A total of 4,584 vacancies have been released for the Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2021. The vacancies have been released for Commando Battalions, Unarmed Branch as well as Armed Branch.

Assam Police Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
The candidates willing to apply for Assam Police Recruitment 2021 must be Indian citizens, permanent residents of Assam. Their names must be registered with a local Employment Exchange of Assam. Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Educational Qualification
The candidates must possess the following minimum educational qualifications:
- HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
- In addition for the posts of Constable (Nursing), Nursing Diploma is necessary.

Assam Police Constable Selection Process 2021
The SLPRB will scrutinize the applications received and the eligible applicants will be invited for the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PST will carry no marks. Candidates qualifying for the PST will have to undergo the PET.
Results of the PST and PET will be locally displayed at the end of each day of the test. A merit list will be prepared as per the scores obtained by the candidate. Qualifying applicants will be eligible for the next stage which is the written test. The last stage will be oral/viva voce.

Assam Police Medical Test Standard
- Candidates must possess high colour vision.
- Varicose Vein is considered temporary disqualification.
- Candidate must be in good mental and physical health.
- Candidates must be free from any physical deformities.
- Candidates must be free from chronic diseases like Diabetes, Respiratory Disease, Piles, Hernia, etc.
- Distance vision should be at least 6/6 for one eye, and must not be poorer than 6/9 for others without correction.
