JEE Mains, Advanced & NEET Exam Dates 2020 Announced: JEE Mains, Advanced & NEET Exams 2020 had postponed due to the spread of the contagious disease coronavirus and the resultant lockdown.
Ending uncertainty for engineering and medical college aspirants, the Government Of India today announced exam dates for Joint Entrance Exams (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Joint Entrance Exam-Mains (JEE-MAINS) is conducted for admission to engineering colleges across the country, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted for medical colleges.
While the exams were to be held in April and the first week of May, respectively which were then postponed to be held by May-end. Now that the nation-wide lockdown has been extended till 17th May, 2020 the national level entrance exams have been further postponed.
JEE Mains Exam Dates 2020
While interacting with students in a webinar, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said the JEE-Mains exams 2020 will be held from 18th July to 23rd July 2020 while JEE-Advanced exams 2020 will be held in August 2020.
Over 9 lakh students have been waiting for the JEE Mains 2020 Exam Dates.
The JEE-Mains is considered as a qualifying exam for JEE-Advanced through which the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) all over the country offer admissions in undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor’s-Master’s Dual Degree in Engineering, Science or Architecture.
JEE Advanced Exam Dates 2020
JEE-Advanced exam was earlier scheduled to be held on 17th May 2020. But all exams were postponed due to nationwide lockdown announced to contain the COVID-19 spread.
JEE-Advanced exams 2020 will be held in August 2020. The minister said IIT-JEE Advanced exam will be held in August but the exact dates will be announced later on.
The JEE-Mains is considered as a qualifying exam for JEE-Advanced.
NEET 2020 New Exam Date
The wait for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2020 Examination is over. HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal in his live webinar has announced that NEET 2020 exam would be conducted on 26th July, 2020.
The examination, earlier was suggested to be conducted in June after the 03rd May 2020 exam was cancelled.
More than 15 lakh students across the country have registered for NEET this year, which is the gateway to medical colleges in India.
The HRD Ministry’s National Testing Agency (NTA) had also given students an option to change their opted centres for the two tests as many of them have moved to different places since the lockdown.
NEET Admit Card 2020
Usually, the NEET admit cards are released one month before the examination dates. However, due to the present situation, it is possible that the NEET 2020 admit cards may be released about a week or 10 days ahead of the examination.
NTA would be releasing the complete schedule for the NEET 2020 examination. It is likely that the NEET 2020 admit cards may be released by end of June or in first week of July.
The complete revised schedule for NEET 2020 would also be made available on nta.ac.in as well as on ntaneet.nic.in. The new dates and updates would be provided on this page as well, once made available.
