For Assistant Engineers, totally 50 vacancies are allotted. For AAO (Specialist) posts, 168 vacancies are announced. Thus totally 218 vacancies are available. Also, the vacancy for the PWD candidates also updated. As per the LIC assistant notification 2020, reservation is provided for the candidates of each category.

LIC Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2020
LIC Assistant Educational Qualification
Before applying in the post against these notification aspirants should satisfy themselves that they fulfil all eligibility norms including Age, Educational/Technical Qualification from a recognized University.
Assistant Engineer (Civil)
- Candidates should have completed B.Tech/B.E. (Civil) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution.
- Additionally, candidates should also have three years’ experience in Planning and Execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure.
Assistant Engineer (Electrical)
- An Engineering Degree Electrical from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution.
- Importantly, they should have a minimum of three years’ experience in planning and execution of multi storied building projects with all required infrastructure
Assistant Architect
- A Degree in B. Arch. from a recognized Indian University/Institution.
- Candidate should be registered with Council of Architecture and possess a minimum of three years’ experience in designing of all types of buildings with allied services.
- Candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and application of AutoCAD software and / or similar type software
Assistant Engineer (Structural)
- Candidates should have completed M. Tech / M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/ Institution.
- They should have very good knowledge in Structural Design of high rise buildings with the foundation system.
- He/she should be familiar with various standards of BIS pertaining to structural design and Foundation design and must be experienced in handling structural engineering software like ETABS, STAAD, etc.
- Candidates applying for the post must possess a minimum one-year hands-on experience in the area.
Assistant Engineer (MEP Engineers)
- An Engineering Degree in (Mechanical/ Electrical) from a recognized University
- Also, a three year experience in planning and execution of Plumbing / Piping / HVAC system, Lift & Fire Fighting system, Electrical Sub-station in multi storied buildings
AAO (Chartered Accountant)
- Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution
- Candidates should have cleared the Final Examination of the Institute of CA and completion of Articles as presented by the Institute of Chartered Accountant.
- The candidate should be an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
- Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
AAO (Actuarial)
- Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution
- Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st February, 2020.
- Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
AAO (Legal)
- Candidates needs to pursued Bachelor’s Degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Institute
- Additionally, three years’ experience in the relevant field
AAO (Rajbhasha)
- Candidates should have completed PG in Hindi or Hindi translation
- Additionally they should have studied English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree
OR
- PG in English with Hindi as one of the subject in the Bachelor’s Degree
- PG in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as the subjects in the Bachelor’s Degree
AAO (IT)
- Candidates who are going to apply for Assistant Administration Officer (IT), needs to have a
- Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics) or MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution
LIC Assistant Age Limit 2020
- Minimum Age Limit : 21 Years
- Upper Age Limit : 30 Years
- The Above mentioned LIC Assistant Age Limit should be calculated as on 1st February 2020
- Which means the candidates should be born not earlier than 02.02.1990 and not later than 01.02.1999 (Both dates are inclusive)

Shortlisted candidates in final merit list will have to undergo Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination and if found medically fit, will be offered appointment

Prerequisite Documents
- Passport size photograph – (4.5cm × 3.5cm)
- Signature (using black ink)
- Left thumb impression (on white paper with black or blue ink)
- Handwritten declaration (on a white paper with black ink)

- Go to the official website of LIC. In the home page, click on the ‘Careers’ section.
- Then in the next page click the link “Recruitment of AE / AA / AAO (Specialist)”. It will redirect you to the online application registration page.
- There click the tab, “Click here for New Registration”.
- In the registration page fill your name, basic details and email Id. After finishing the registration, you will get your registration number and password.
- Using those Login credentials open the online application. In the first page fill all the basic information and give submit options.
- In the next page upload your scanned documents at the appropriate space. All the scanned documents should be according to the specifications mentioned in the LIC assistant notification 2020.
- Before giving the final submit option, check the preview of your online application.
- Finally, pay your application fee by the online mode.
