Selection Process

The selection will be completed in Four stages which is as below:

• Stage I will be Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
• Stage is written Examination.
• Stage –III will be Document Varification & Skill test
• Stage IV- Medical Examination

SSB Constable Tradesman Physical Efficiency Test

The physical test will be conducted at SSB locations by Board of Officers datailed by SSB, as per administrative convenience as per detial given below:-

SSB Constable Tradesman Physical Standard Test

The candidate who qualify in the Physical Efficiency test (PET) will have to undergo Physical Standard Test (PST).

SSB Constable Written Examination

Candidate declared qualified in Physical Standard test (PST) will have to appear in written examination which will be conducted as per following:-

Minimus Qualifying marks of written examination for all posts will be:-

• 50% for General, EWS and Ex- Servicemen
• 45% for SC & ST’

Note:- Final merit for all post will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written examination.

SSB Constable Document Varification & Skill test

After written examination 20 times of the vacancies (category wise) candidate will be called for document varification and skill test. The candiate who qualified in the written examination but not find place in the list prepared in for documentation and skill test will not be called for documentation and skill test.

Skill Test- The skill test for all post will be of 50 marks, the minimum qualifying marks for all candiates including SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Ex-Serviceman will be 60%. Trade Test for all post will be qualifying in nature. No Trade test will be include in the marks of Paper 1 for preparation of final marit list.

SSB Constable Tradesman Medical Examination (DME)

After Skill Test and, on the basis of merit of paper 1 examination candiate number upto 3 times the vacancies advertised in the notification will be called for Detailed Medical Examination. In this process some candidates though declared qualified in skill test but not fined place in the list of DME will not be called.

Note- Candidate declared qualified in PET, PST, Written Examination and Documentaion & Skill Test will have no surety to be called for Detailed Medical Examination.
