SSC CHSL Exam 2020 No Biometric Attendance
Many SSC CHSL aspirants had demanded to postponed the SSC CHSL Tier 1 2019 Exam due to Corona Virus (COVID-19) effect. Students have to go through Bio-metric Attendance during this exam. So aspirants were afraid of COVID 19 and they demanded to postpone the exam on various social media platforms.
But, SSC has now come up with solution for this problem. There will be no Bio-metric Attendance during the exam. However, Candidates have to give their thumb Impressions on Commission Copies and Attendance Sheets.
SSC has released some Instructions and guidelines to follow during the exam. Which are as follows:
COVID 19 Special Precautions For SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam 2019
Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examinations (Tier-I), 2019 is going to be conducted by the Commission w.e.f. 17th March 2020 to 28th March 2020 throughout the country. In view of the prevalent situation created due to Covid-19, the Commission has decided the following:-
- No Bio-metric Registration of the candidates will be conducted. However, thumb impression of the Candidates will be mandatorily taken on the Commission Copies and Attendance Sheets.
- Candidates will be allowed to bring their own masks to be worn during the examination. However, masks will have to be removed for taking photographs at the Registration Desks. These photographs can be used by the Commission for verification during subsequent Tiers/ stages of the examination.
- Candidates will be allowed to bring their own hand sanitizers (small size) and water bottles (transparent/ see through).
- Candidates will be allowed to bring their own ball pens (having transparent outer cover). Any other type of pen, which is translucent, will not be allowed.
- The Commission has also issued necessary instructions to its Service Provider for cleaning/ sanitizing frequently used objects such as mouse/ keyboards/ tables/ door handles, etc. before start of each shift of examination in the larger interest of the candidates.

2. Solve Mock Tests & Previous Year Papers: The last few days before the exam date should be completely devoted to solving mock tests and previous year question papers. 3. Analyze performance after every mock: It is really important to analyze your performance after attempting mock tests and make sure that you improvise with each test. Analyze your mistakes and make a list of the topics that are difficult to solve or that you are having difficulty with.
4. Read the Complete Question First: Candidates are required to avoid the mistake of reading incomplete questions and arriving at the incorrect answer eventually. Read the questions carefully and check what is being asked.
5. Manage Your Time: There are no sectional time limits and no sectional cut offs. So your job is to simply maximize your score however you can. Give more time to attempt the sections that you are strong in as quickly as you can so that you have more time for your weaker sections.
6. Maintain your Speed & Accuracy and Maximize Your Score: Remember that there are no sectional cut-offs but there will be negative marking of 0.5 marks for wrong answers. So, try to maintain your speed and accuracy while solving the paper during the examination.
7. Don’t forget your Admit Card, Photograph and ID Proof: Don’t forget to take Admit Card alongwith the Photograph and Original ID proof alongwith its photocopy as well. The admit card should be produced for gaining entry to the Exam Centre. The candidates must enquire and locate accurately the allotted examination center as mentioned in Admit Card.
8. Order Of Attempting Questions: In the exam there is no particular order of attempting the paper. However the order in which you tend to attempt questions makes a big difference in the overall performance. This decision shall be made wisely as it may change the ratio of marks scored.
9. Don’t take Stress, Stay Fresh and Well Rested: Always reach the exam centre with a stress-free mind and do not panic. An active & fresh mind will ensure you are in the best frame of mind to solve quicker & better. Don’t study too much on days leading up to your exam. Get ample amount of sleep the night before the exam.
