SSC CHSL Result 2018 – 19: The Combined Higher Secondary Level Tier 1 examination to be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for various posts of Group C and D level, has concluded. The SSC CHSL 2018-19 Tier I Result is officially declared on 12th September 2019 by Staff Selection Commission

SSC CHSL Result 2019: Important Points

  • There will be separate category-wise cut-offs in Tier-Iand subsequent Tiers for different posts i.e. (i) DEO, (ii) DEO Grade ‘A’ and (iii) LDC/JSA and PA/ SA.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II Examination on the basis of their performance in Tier-I Examination.
  • Normalized scoresof the candidates will be used to determine merit and for final selection.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted forTier-III Examination on the basis of their performance in Tier-I + Tier-II subject to having scored a minimum of 33% marks in Tier-II Examination.
  • Tier-III Examination is qualifying in nature.
  • Skill Test in Tier-III for DEOs is mandatory for all the qualified candidates.
  • Typing Test in Tier-III for posts other than DEOs is mandatory for all candidates except those who are exempted from appearing in the Typing Test.

SSC CHSL Tier-II Syllabus

This is a descriptive exam that is designed to test the written skills of the candidates in English/Hindi. The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/Application writing of approximately 150-200 words. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent. The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit. The best way to prepare for the same is to read lots of articles from various newspapers. Apart from this, you need to be well aware of the pattern of Letter and Application.

Important Points:

  • The exam is of 60 minutes duration and carries 100 marks.
  • The exam duration is 80 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped or suffer from cerebral palsy.
  • The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words.
  • The Paper would comprise writing of Letter /Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent.
  • The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit.
  • The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English.
  • Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.
