SSC CPO Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2019
SSC CPO Syllabus 2019: SSC has officially finalized SSC CPO Exam Dates 2019 for the recruitment of Sub Inspector (SI) in CAPF, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) in CISF & Sub Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police. SSC CPO Exam will now be conducted from 9th December to 13th December 2019. You’ve got almost 50 days to ace your preparation. Aspirants who have submitted their online application form must check latest exam pattern and SSC CPO syllabus of Paper 1 & 2 to kick-start their exam preparation in the right direction.
In this article we are going to share the pattern & syllabus of SSC CPO SI/ASI exam along with the selection process as mentioned in the official notification. Let’s start with the updated syllabus and exam pattern.
SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2019
1. There are two papers in the Examination process, Both Paper-I & Paper-II will be conducted online.
2. The question in both papers will be objective multiple choice type questions.
SSC CPO Paper I Exam Pattern

1. Paper I will be online consisting of 200 questions for 200 marks.
2. You will be given 2 hours to answer questions.
3. Each correct answer will fetch you +1 mark and for each wrong answer -0.25 marks will be deducted.

SSC CPO English Syllabus
Candidates’ ability to understand Correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested.
SSC CPO Paper 2 Syllabus: English Language & Comprehension
Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on:
- Error recognition
- Filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc.)
- Sentence Structure
- Sentence Completion
- Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words
- Comprehension etc.
Important Points to be noted related SSC CPO Recruitment 2019
I: There will be NO Interview for SI, ASI Posts in Delhi Police. Selection will be based on Marks of Paper 1 & Paper 2.
II: Deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each incorrect answer.
SSC CPO Selection Process
Step I: Those candidates, who will score the cutoff marks fixed by the Commission in Paper I would be required to appear in the Physical Endurance Test & Physical Standard Test.
Step II: Only those candidates, qualified in PET/ PST and will be allowed to appear in Paper-II.
Step III: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their total marks in the Written Examination in Paper- I & II. After Medical & Document Verification, candidates will be recommended for appointment by the Commission on the basis of total marks in the Written Examination.
Finally selected candidates for the posts of Sub-Inspector and Assistant Sub-Inspector would, as part of training curriculum, have to pass seven obstacle events as mentioned below, failing which they may not be retained in the Force:
i) Jumping over the Vertical Board
ii) Holding the rope on jumping from the Board
iii) Tarzan Swing
iv) Jumping on the Horizontal Board
v) Parallel Rope
vi) Monkey Crawl
vii) Vertical Rope
