UPSC Exam Analysis 2021

• As per the reports, the paper was ‘tougher’ than previous years’ papers.
• Questions regarding the pandemic as well and India-China ties were also asked.
• Assertion and reasoning questions were the toughest and have left many confused.
• The paper 1 was of 200 marks.
• Candidates have to attempt 100 questions based on General Studies including Indian History, Economics, Indian and World Geography, Science and technology etc.
• Each right question gets a +2 and every incorrect response gets a negative 0.66 mark.

The UPSC CSE Prelims Exams 2021 consists of 2 compulsory papers for 200 marks each. The Preliminary exam is of qualifying nature and marks scored in Paper 1 will be counted to select the students for UPSC Mains Exams 2022.
